on the need for a good trailer
john carter is a pretty good movie. it flopped for two reasons. one, the smaller issue, cutting out the “of mars” part of the title until the end means that some people might not recognize it as an adapted edgar rice burroughs story, “a princess of mars”, which is bad. worse, is the trailer, which didn’t have any of the good pits of the movie in it, it only showed him jumping around and fighting the white apes, from what i could remember. the trailer made it look worse than it is.

amysgone asked: hey, where have you been the last year, the Avenges IS pretty much an Ultimate Universe movie.
I’ve been here, seeing the same things you have. I won’t argue that point, as it might very well be true, but went I said what I said about an ultimate movie, i was talking about spider-man, a film staring Miles Morales. That I do not see ever happening, seeing as there has never been a superhero film where they go to another incarnation of the hero, when they could have.

thoughts i had while cooking
There should be a justice league movie. marvel, through all their movies, set up this world and that’s how they got the avengers movie done. dc isn’t doing that, at least not with their live action movies. each of their movies seems to be in it’s own world, and outside of the batman films, none of them have been all that good. They need to revamp superman, green lantern, make a green lantern film, and somewhere put flash and martian manhunter in there, and then maybe we can have it happen. it is something i’d really love to see, more than avengers actually, but it’s not going to happen in so long as dc movies are self contained stories that take themselves too seriously. i love the batman movies, but they aren’t superhero movies, they are movies that involve superheroes. it works for batman, but in so long as they do that, but make superhero movies for everything else, it’ll never work.

Hey guys, so I have been getting a lot of original paintings and drawings and also some great links to photos of Cthulhu (and other Lovecraft, videogame, or movie art)! I just wanted to say that you all are REALLY talented (since I can only make stick figures [and even then I need a ruler]) so im just gonna make a photo set of several recent photos sent to me! Remember to follow me, and then message me if you want a photo up on my blog, or if you just want to ask a question! Keep the art coming!

Real fright isn’t like the movies. Real fear is an ugly, quiet relentless thing. It’s a kind of pain.
